Here is my Cannondale SystemSix Si 2008 rebuilt. I have a carbon Topeak rack with an RX bag with sides that fold out. Suprisingly this holds all my work clothes and lunch to boot. With rack and bag it weighs 18 lbs. Its great for the 10 miles mon-fri and 60 on saturday. Its also a perfect touring frame with the aluminum rear.

Here's my current commuter, a beat up BikesDirect singlespeed.
It will soon be replaced by a late 90's Rockhopper. Just need to save up for some bar-end shifters... then this will get flat bars, or maybe trekking bars. I don't know.

Just got home with my new Redline 9-2-5. I was going to change the handlebars to road bars but decided I will wait a few weeks
because it would have been an additional $100.00 including a new stem. Everything is stock but I did remove the toe clips because
I was just not comfortable with those and they drove my crazy on the way home! I also removed front and rear reflectors, added a
bottle cage, Sigma Sport 1609STS, and a front and rear light! I will be changing the bars to road bars soon, adding a Brooks B17
saddle, a nice Acorn Saddle Bag, a frame pump and I have my commuter bike set up!

nice bike, indeed. Where did you buy that? I've been looking at Redlines myself. I am always thinking of getting the Metro 9. How are you liking those tires on our potholed spring streets.

from Wilson to Clark/Division and took the #70 to Western & Division so I would get to ride it back. I took Division over to Damen, Damen to Cortland, Cortland to Racine, Racine
to Armitage, Armitage to Clark/Lincoln Park W, Lincoln Park W to Fullerton, and the Lake Front Trail to Montrose. So, basically, I had the pleasure of riding it on several different
streets to get a good feel of the bike.
The bike, overall, handles really well. I do plan on replacing the handlebars for drop bars. I hit several pot holes and had some close calls
at St Mary of Nazareth Hospital where the inbound bike lane is blocked off but overall handled really well. I am very happy with the bike.
Also, I do plan on changing the tires out for some Gator Skins. Gotta ride over those broken crack pipes and beer bottles, right? I ride a
56cm and you could come check it out any time if you like. Have a good day and be safe!

Commuted in on this guy today. Need the folder so the wife can pick me up and get us to a family dinner in a timely manner after work.
2007 Dahon Cadenza
26" with 2" Schwalbe Big Apples on Alexrims Supra-BH Pro, Avid BB7s, Thompson Elite, MKS EZY removable pedals, Shimano Alfine 8spd IGH, SKS Chainboard chain guard, Megasoft Ergotec grips (replaced the beat up Ergons I had on there originally. Almost as good, too!) Planet Bike Superflash and 1W Blaze.
I love this bike. Needs a good hosin' off though.

It uses Dahon's "Lockjaw" design. The top and down tubes are split/hinged and have an aggressive locking "tooth" design. Everything is secured/loosened with an allen key.

On mine the only thing stock was the frame, fork, crankset, headset and stem. I added the Trp 960's, Pro race 3 tires, Ritchey bars, tape, 105 shifters and derailleurs, Spinergy Spox, aluminum post, Ti Zero's, Gortex brake and shift cables and specialized seat. It rides incredible and rolls fast. The only thing I am going to change is the chain since its 105 and the cogset is a new dura-ace. For some reason the chain doesn't play nice on the cogset so I ordered a KMC X10Sl.

Cool method, and makes for a more "normal" looking bike (as in, it doesn't look like a folding bike)

Oddly enough... my favourite and most used brand of chain is KMC as there is no reason to pay more for chain that does not work any better.
I have not used Shimano chain on my own bikes in a decade and the only time I fit it to a bike is if a customer brings it in with them.
The KMC chain shifts as well as anything but that might have something to do with the person who dials in the drive train.

Since I already ordered the KMC I will try that, If that doesn't seem to work well I will go with the ultregra. The reason I am leaning toward the KMC is because the shop told me when they were building the bike from the parts I had that the shifting might be a problem with the 105 5600 chain. It didn't give any problems at all till abot 300 miles of use then started double shifting one in a while. The cassette is a durace 7800 but all tyhe parts are 10spd. To me is seems like a chain width issue but I haven't enough road experience with 10spds to know yet. Being here in florida where its mostly flat and I run in the big ring all the time I can see where 11 spds would be nice.

completely stock except for the syncros post, removed the cross top levers and re-taped. swapped the rear tektro 720 wide profile canti for an old deore LX low profile canti and added koolstops. i kept clipping my leg on the rear wide profile on dismounts.
i bought it to 'try out' cross and it has quickly become my second favorite bike[nothing will surpass the love i have for my 90 cdale haha]
i 100% recommend it. its real fast --just not fenders or rack friendly.
heres another pic of it after 'being used properly'

I finally got done upgrading my little Peugeot. Iam looking forward to being able to ride it the next comple of days. Its so much more comfy with better brake levers, wider bar, and bar tape. I still have some bugs to work out and adjustments to make, but its functional and a nice step up from what it was before. Its a fun ride.
