Timbuk2 Messenger Strap Question
Maybe I am not the brightest, but I can't figure out how to take up the excess strap on my Timbuk2 messenger bag. There is the cam, that tightens up the strap, then below it there is [I don't know what you even call it...] some assembly to take in and let out strap. When I take in a lot, the strap bunches up and the cam is pushed open.
Is there a better way to take it in that I don't realize?
...and because this is incredibly confusing. I posted a picture with a lot of the extra strap let out.

The "single ladder lock", if I'm remembering my implement names correctly, is a fail safe in case the cam buckle comes undone. To get rod of the loop of strap, after taking it in to the desired length, you'll need cut off the excess out of the top of the ladder lock (behind the cam buckle). The design flaw is that this obviously is a very permanent adjustment and limits the bag's flexibility of use.

I always just took the excess loop and tucked it under one of the flap's straps. QED.
