I have one but it sits in the driveway most of the time. I either walk to the train station or ride to work. It's a 1997 Mustang with about 50,000 miles on it.

A lot of people in NYC, including myself, don't own a car. Still too many cars here, though.

I have always lived in a rural area, I can't even get my head around not having an auto.

I did go almost a year once with only a motorcycle, no wife and no kids back then...

my wife has a car. I don't. But I get to drive hers whenever I want, which isn't all that often.

One van for the wife and kids. We sold our second car about 3 years ago when I started riding the bus. They've since cut my bus route so now I'm bikin' it.

Car free. If I absolutely need to get out of town and can't find a bus, I rent a car, but that's rare.

I got rid of my car last month, I used it so infrequently it had to be jump started every time I used it.
When the MOT and Tax expired in the same week I thought to hell with it.

I have a wife and 2 kids under 3 so we'll see how I get on.

We have 2 cars right now, but I'm slowly getting my wife to think about going down to 1 car. I've been commuting by bike several times a week since Dec. last year.
