looking for wide u-lock

hello,

i just purchased a krytponite kryptolock combo that was reported as being 6.5" wide but turns out it is only 5" wide. i want to be able to lock up both wheels and frame together to wherever im going. i really dont want to carry a cable lock as well. are there any locks out there wide enough/long enough for this? i can deal w/out it being a combo lock, thats not as important as the lock actually fitting around the frame and rear wheel. as said the width for my jamis is pretty much 6" wide. thanks for any ideas, link, etc.

The other day when I was in Sacramento, I saw two guys locking up both of their bicycles to a pole, with one U-Lock for the front wheel and both of their frames, and the other U-Lock for the rear wheels and frames for both of their bikes. I didn't even think to ask them where they got those extra long U-Locks!

I would also like to find the extra long U-Locks .... but where ... ???

Bikes: Civia Hyland Rohloff, Swobo Dixon, Colnago, Univega

The Kryptonite web site lists their widest U lock as 5" wide so the 6.5" was probably shackle length. They do offer longer shackle U locks up to 11.9" in some models. Look under bicycles and power sports on their web site.

A wider lock is easier to spring via jacking on the inside of the shackle so they are not made too wide.
