How hi-vis is your head?

Do you wear any hi-vis hats or helmets?

I've been wearing one of these, I feel is gives me hipster redneck super powers. I think it makes me better at running stops signs.

That's not what I look like BTW.

Bikes: '08 Surly Cross-Check, 2011 Redline Conquest Pro, 2012 Spesh FSR Comp EVO, 2015 Trek Domane 6.2 disc

I have black scotchlite tape on my helmet. It's stealthy during the day, but lights up really well when light shines on it at night.

I wear a headlamp at night. Not too much help from the back, but from the front people can see me.

I wear a black helmet. However, it has a 400 Lumen light on it.

I just switched to a matte-ish silver helmet from a glossy black one, not sure what the net change is

Same here. My helmet is white so during the day it stands out. I will wear an ANSI class II vest during low light conditions. My wife was following me home one night and mentioned that the entire bike was very visible, but my head was not. I added some Solas tape to the back so not it lights up like a christmass tree for anyone driving behind me.

Happy riding,
André

That's something I'm going to do. Although I've got the full complement of lights, my clothes tend to be grey and dark, perfect for blending into the background in low light.

With my helmet on my head is low-vis. With my helmet off, you could land a plane with the glare.

Mine looks like that seen from 2001 when they're accelerating into space and all the stars are looking like streaks of light. Kawasaki knew what they were doing when they used that clip in an ad that says "we know why you ride".

You know it!

On the way home, I made direct eye contact with a cop as I was riding the against traffic.

He looked away in fear and self loathing.

I wear a silver & yellow Bell Solar. In the cooler months, I put a J&G rain cover on it, which breaks the chill.

It looks a little extra dorky, but I do get noticed with the helmet cover on and the chicks dig guys with protection!
