Where Can I Get a CARRADICE Pannier in CANADA?

Hi folks,

I think I've decided on a pannier. I like the Carradice Bike Bureau Commuter, however they have no re-seller in Canada.

Anybody know how else I could purchase this at a fair price?

** edit **

I had another question - posted it a few posts down but i guess nobody is see'ing it:

Does anyone know if it can hold a 17" MBP, a 2" Binder, and maybe a couple shirts and socks? Im trying to picture the volume of this bag.

AND...anyone know how well it attaches to a Pashley?

Try getting them from St. Johns in Great Britain. I've purchased several items from them and the shipping to the USA didn't cost anymore and I recieved the items as fast or even faster in a couple of instances then I could have gotten them from a U.S. supplier

Well... the link you provided appears to be the direct manufacturer. They invite you to contact them. Will they ship to Canada?

Saint Johns Street Cyclery in England is where I got mine, although I don't live in Canada.
Also I don't know what the exchange rate is right now but at the time I got my Carradice bags it was a pretty good deal.If it hadn't been for the good deal I would have gotten Panniers from Arkel though and they should be all over Canada.

Looks like you can get them right off their website. Check it out and see what happens

okay...thanks for the replies. I thought maybe a North American re-seller would be cheaper due to shipping costs.

I got my Barley bag directly from Carradice. Shipping was very reasonable and extremely fast.

Buy them from England. It will cost you a lot less, they have more selection, and shipping doesn't take much (if any ) longer. I have bought bike gear from SJS Cycles, Wiggle, Ribble, and Chain Reaction Cycles, and you also can order directly from Carradice. Wiggle will provide free shipping if your order is over a certain amount.

Pictured is a Bike Bureau with a copy of the New Orleans Yellow Pages, a laptop computer, and a pair of size 48 cycling shoes in the wet pocket..

Peterwhitecycles sells them also... Or just order form the site.. $150 or so. As for your giant laptop.. probably.

+1

Wiggle has the best prices on Carradice stuff as I've seen anywhere online. Far cheaper than any US retailers. I ordered my Pendle and bagman support from there, and still had to buy a jar of chamois cream to make it to 85 bucks for the free shipping. The Pendle alone is more than that at most US shops.

I ordered a saddlebag direct from Carradice (to the US) and saved 50 bucks, shipping included, off what I would have paid at the LBS. Just saying. Quick delivery and all.

It'll definitely hold all of those. I had a chunky 10# 17" laptop and a bunch of other crap into it. I donated mine to a charity auction 'cause I wound up not liking the fastening system, among other things. But I'm sure it would attach to anything.

Thanks for the reply. What is wrong with the fastening system?

I couldn't easily take the bag off one-handed.
