tarwheel 05-07-10 09:15 AM

10-12 miles depending on the route.

opie 05-07-10 09:17 AM

8.6 miles the shortest direction but hilly. one mile is 3 minutes... the next is 7.. lol

ItsJustMe 05-07-10 09:19 AM

11 miles, 15 or 16 if I decide it's a nice day and I go the long way round.

Consularrider 05-07-10 09:26 AM

I live near a 16 mile loop route on MUPs (the Arlington (VA) loop) so my commute is 5 miles going one way or 12 miles if I ride the loop in the other direction.

thoms 05-07-10 09:46 AM

Used to be 6, with a recent move its 12.5. Just about right.

Pobble.808 05-07-10 09:56 AM

1.5 mi or 1.75 depending on route

ochizon 05-07-10 10:00 AM

7.6 miles here, which is not the direct, but the safest route.

cycling in Miami sucks :(

Reverse in the evening.

Did you ride this morning? I followed a slightly different route & time; I think I may have seen you (but couldn't catch you!)

Sentinel04 05-07-10 10:15 AM

About 6 miles on the Custis trail in Arlington, VA. I think today I might just ride down the Mt. Vernon Trail and catch the WOD back up to the Custis.

|3iker 05-07-10 10:25 AM

About 12.5km one way.

squirtdad 05-07-10 10:47 AM

5 miles in

5.8 home (slightly different route to make it easier to cross the most traffic street with a light)

up to 10 home if I take a route simply to add miles

Yea, I can't complain. Although with summer around the corner it means a lot more drivers not watching the road myself included due to the increase of scantily clad fauna :innocent:

dstedman 05-07-10 11:05 AM

22 miles each way. I'm gonna be lean & mean by the end of the summer!

PhilWinIL 05-07-10 11:29 AM

12 miles from the house to the office.

Rhodabike 05-07-10 01:01 PM

4.5k, unless I go swimming. In that case it's an additional 3k past my office to the pool, then 3k back again to get to work.

groovestew 05-07-10 01:09 PM

About 15 km.

buck65 05-07-10 01:24 PM

3 miles round trip. :D I always throw in an adventurous couple of miles on the way home....but I take the direct route home for lunch.

EKW in DC 05-07-10 01:56 PM

7 miles (11.25 km) door to door according to mapping websites. (I haven't gotten a computer yet, but it's on my acquisition list.) I often stop at the grocery store or run other similar errands on the way home so that adds a nice couple miles here and there, too. I've been known to strecth out the commute artificially as well. A seven mile commute can be a ten-plus mile commute if you know the right roads. ;)

CbadRider 05-07-10 01:58 PM

21 miles to work, 19 miles home.

I'm starting a new job in a week that will be 3 miles closer but it's much hillier, so it will probably take me the same amount of time.

starla 05-07-10 02:17 PM

10 miles

BILLB58 05-07-10 02:42 PM

Usually 11.3 miles in the morning and 9.7 miles at night

corkscrew 05-07-10 03:46 PM

8.5 miles if I stick to the roads, and avoid hills.

10 miles if I use the hills, and take the bumpy section of the MUP.

11 miles if I use the hills, and take the smooth section of the MUP.

mustang1 05-07-10 04:01 PM

11 miles one way.

daithi2 05-07-10 04:09 PM

13 miles

bhop 05-07-10 04:11 PM

13 miles...technically 12.5, but I like to round up since it seems more impressive to the ladies.
