Not sure if this counts as "finding money" or not:
Three days ago, I did my daily commute. It takes me through a nice historic neighborhood. I saw a nice dining table that looked pretty nice on the sidewalk with the homemade "FREE" sign. Crap, I wasn't going to be back home for another 8 hours to pick it up. I pulled over and rang the doorbell to see if I could call dibs, but no answer. I got my Sharpie out of my backpack, flipped the sign, and wrote a $120 price sign. When I rode back, it was gone. I rang the doorbell and asked what happened. Turned out someone bought it for $120! I told her I was the one that wrote the sign and she gave me $40 as a thank you.
Would've been a nice table, but $40 is good too.
