First commute with the magic shine.

. My buddy said he never saw a light so (*&^%$ bright when we met up this morning. He wants one now. Performed beautifully in a drenching cats and dogs kind of rain this morning. I think I"m gonna get some of the liquid rubber stuff to seal around the battery even though I put in my bento bag. Cable connections seem very snug so all around I'm happy so far.

if you ever get condensation inside the glass you can unscrew the front ring to disassemble air dry for a few hours then reassemble. be very cautious with the glass!

I broke the lens on my Magicshine, I replaced the lens with a piece of thin plastic. So far, so good.

used mine today too - use it for every ride. I use the fast strobe mode and play with the aim so as not to annoy drivers too much. I find the fast strobe mode is even bright enough to ride with at night, and the added run time of the strobe mode provides ease of mind for the long 3+ hr nite rides

Definitely waterproof it as much as possible. I didn't bother with mine and it last about four months.
