Me too! I remember that Cateye light with the new and improved 1500 candlepower, and then the Fenix L2D with NiMh batteries before finally getting a Magicshine and seeing what I'd been missing before. The Fenix is on my coffeetable now in case the power goes out.

The tipping point was riding with 1500 candles. Lighting them all was a real pain, and sometimes by the time you got around to the 1500th, the first had burned out.
