I juggle cats on my bike ride. I prefer the feral, one eyed, ragged eared cats for juggling but I will use rabid raccoons if the cats aren't available c

This thread reminds me of some of the fare in the Road forum. Thanks for reminding me why I avoid that place.

So, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that you answered "yes" to the no hands thread?

How about texting while eating a sandwich while splitting the lane during rush hour ?

azesty 09-09-10 11:35 PM

I am feeling slighted for starting the no hands thread!!!!

How about: Where do you park your bike and what is the combination?

twinquad 09-10-10 08:03 AM

Wait a minute... is this a helmet thread?

Nope, not until this thread reaches page 13.

Nope. The helmet thread is that way -->

Research has proven that wearing a helmet is effective while juggling sharp knives on a bike.
Just be sure it is adjusted properly.

Ask at your LBS.

Master the Unicycle , and you can earn money busking this act.

|3iker 09-10-10 10:51 AM

Yes. Only at desolate MUPs or if they are very little cars around ( 1 or 2 per minute).

Next question please.

jeffpoulin 09-10-10 11:32 AM

I do, but only with my right arm (away from traffic). As far as I can tell, my cycling is completely unaffected by this!

Andy_K 09-10-10 01:01 PM

I'm pretty sure I read a study that showed that the overwhelming majority of people injured in bicycle accidents weren't juggling knives at the time. Draw your own conclusions.

jbman100 09-10-10 01:17 PM

I have in the past juggled hypodermic needles that I got from the sharps container here at work at the free STD clinic, while trying to reach back into my panniers to get the tape for the generator powered 8 track player attached to my rear rack while the bar mounted speakers are blasting 70's Bee Gee's music while riding north in the southbound lane of the freeway during the traffic let out of the local football team after a loss. Talk about hairy. I though people liked the Bee Gee's!

himespau 09-10-10 02:27 PM

I like to strop my straight razor until it's good and sharp and then use it to remove my pubic hair. But only when riding at night without lights. I mean you wouldn't want to be seen and get arrested for indecent exposure. Doing it ninja, though...there's nothing like a fresh breeze on freshly dry-shaved skin. Ah, refreshing.

Ask at your LBS.

My LBS says I would need a helmet with no vents & they don't stock any.

DexterBerkeley 09-10-10 04:02 PM

I start with blunt knives and spend my commute to work sharpening them with a sharpening stone I power off my front wheel so they are juggling sharp for the return journey, does that qualify?

rando 09-11-10 08:54 AM

yes.

Wanderer 09-11-10 09:04 AM

I'm really surprised that Sieu hasn't chimed in here....

mikewille 09-11-10 02:14 PM

I find that drivers pass greater than 3 feet from me if they see that
I am simply holding a large sharp knife in my left hand.

Cornflakes 09-11-10 02:54 PM

That's just silly . . . . . it would violate my parole :innocent:
