One week post surgery observations

Having any kind of surgery around the neck and shoulder areas takes a lot out of you. I didn't realize this until today, one week after my surgery. Sore in places I didn't think would be sore. Don't know how this thing was growing and exactly where but the whole left side of my neck and shoulder area is still sore. Today was the best day I have more movement without discomfort but I still have to be careful of no sudden jerks of the head and neck. Thought I would be riding tomorrow but will wait till Monday. It was odd to poop out by the end of my shift and even though I'm on light duty if I stood very long I would get really tired. That ended today as I felt good all day. So I'm just gonna wait and hopefully get on the bike Monday morning. Best news of all, NO CANCER YIPEEE.

Congratulations on the good outcome! Your body has undergone a lot of stress, it will take a little time to get back to normal.

Congrats on being cancer free.

I just came out of surgery last week. I am slowly getting back on the bike with very small bike rides around the block. By the time I get back to work, most of my vision will have returned and my eye will be healthy enough

Congrats on the outcome and the quick recovery. I'm heading in for surgery next Friday. I only wish it was on my shoulders...

I am 2.5 weeks post surgery for a inguinal hernia. I am starting to do short rides of about 10 miles (staying around the neighborhood - just in case) until I can get fully recovered. I suspect it will be another month or so before I am at that point.
