As I have seen a few post above... I have had a driver throw something at me and hit me in the face. It pissed me off. I almost caught up to him at a red light and had my Ulock ready to beat him senseless, but the light has changed and he took off like a bat outta hell. A few days later I mentioned by incident to a friend of mine and she has told me to just wave at them instead of flipping them off. To make the story short, I had caught up to that person at the light there are two outcomes. First - I beat him up, the cops show up and I get arrested for assault cause I can not prove that he threw something at me a few miles back. Second - that person pulls out at piece at me and it has been my last ride. Florida is a dumb state and gun laws here are really warped.

Another stupid SUV/truck owner here. I've put about equal miles on my bikes in the last 3 years versus what I have put on my cars and trucks (roughly 23,000) so I feel qualified in my opinion that I see idiots everywhere on the road - in all sorts of vehicles and on bikes. I know the OP was directing his comments at belligerent behavior of SUV drivers but the riders on my local hammerfests consistently and blatantly ignore traffic rules in a pretty belligerent manner too. It is to the point of life threatening stupidity as they poach lights from traffic traveling 30+ MPH and force it to stop short as they fly through the intersection. This is all the more absurd as so many drivers are busy texting these days. Unfortunately, idiots everywhere I look on the road these days. Let's all try to be more careful out there and show each other a little more respect!
