1 headlight

Riding home couple of nights ago I encounted a fellow commuter coming toward me. Nice bright headlight but as we passed I noticed no tail light. He was on the MUP & I was onthe road. The MUP only runs the lenght of the street we were on & then just dumps you on to a street at each end (which is why I stay on the road).
Anyway the point of this is I can't remember if there is a term for headlight only riders. Cyclopes seems the obvious, inc the inbedded pun.

Bikes: I have 3 singlespeed/fixed gear bikes

Nothing wrong with that. I do that all the time. Whenever I ride on a MUP I only have my front lights on. But when I jump back on the road I turn my rear lights on. There is no point of having rear lights on when riding on an MUP or sidewalks, it's just a waste of batteries and it doesn't make you any safer from drivers.
