Pretty nice looking. I'm going to San Francisco in February, I'll have to look at them in the store.

They look like they would fit the bill, I'm personally not a fan of that shoe style for me, but if it works, go for it. One caveat; I would try them on before I bought them due to the price. Best of luck.

You want to buy a little smaller than you would for a casual shoe.
I bought the GMT-8s from DZR and I like 'em plenty. DZR worked with Mission Workshop to make the shoe you linked.

looking at the amount of flex in the sole visibe in the one photo I would worry about foot hot spotting with cleats installed and riding or walking extensively. I have that problem with my 661 SPD sandals.
Specialized has some SPD MTB shoes that have a sneaker or sports shoe look that do work well for me.

I use something similar to those, the 661 Filter SPDs with Crank Bros. cleats. They're definitely not stiff, but they're not as pliable as regular shoes either. No hotspots and they're comfortable for walking around. Whether that's the case w/ those missions I can't say, but if you can take a look at them in person, try before you buy.

I have used Pearl Izumi shoes with a great deal of success, although I don't see anything as casual as these on their latest line of shoes. They are very comfortable though! In speaking to my LBS, the rule of thumb for comfort is to go with American brands if you have wide feet while European brands do better with narrower feet. As other have said, definitely try them on before you buy and look for companies that allow you to return after some usage. Sometimes they feel great in the store but when you start riding you start to experience numbness, pain, etc.

Vans makes some spd shoes now too. I think Chrome is releasing one as well but don't think it's out yet... There are a lot of spd shoes that look sneaker-ish.

Those look similar to the SPD sneakers from Nashbar that were my first clipless shoes in the 90's. Those shoes were a helluva lot cheaper. Went through two pairs of those.
