hERE's my impression:

red lighter: thread is blazing meaning people are really high or thread is active, am I right?
grey lighter: thread is inactive, people are not so high
cycling icon with plus: spinergy training wheels (dont' know what that means, just looks like spinergy training wheels to me)
cycling icon without plus: again dont' know what that means

These icons are confusing. Someone sleep through information design 101

Gay isn't a word to describe something bad. It is used to describe a *****exual.

Flamboyant is a better alternative.

CCrew is actually correct in his use of "ghey."

Ghey when the "GH" spelling indicates something that is lame and is not an attempt to categorize a person's sexual orientation.

It comes down to its use in slang. A subtle difference similar to using "teh" instead of "the"

They don't display in Google Chrome, FWIW. And I hope they don't fix it.

The new cycling icon looks like some part of a Geico insurance ad.

Wouldn't those "hot" icons be more appropriate if they were affixed to threads in which something or somebody got flamed?

The new symbols are strange Yes, but they could catch on.

The MAIN thing that bugs me is the maximum width of page seems to be unlimited now even for
standard paragraph text. Making most post hard to read.

So far I have not found a single problem. Make sure you hit the report icon if you run accross something. I hate it when stuff gets fixed that aint broke.

My complaint is that the flames are too large, to bright and too distracting. It's overdone.

1. Read title of thread.
2. Ignore icon to the left unless you are distracted by small and/or shiny objects.
3. Continue to post relevant jocular or sarcastic comment.
4. Exit thread.

Geez, it's not like we woke up one morning with the sun rising in the west.
