I use a small piece of leather wrapped around the binding bolt. You can barely see it in the picture. My first bag eventually shredded from the friction of the bolt.

now, the biggest problem for your product will be the seat flex issue b/c nobody wants metal bits putting pressure on their soft bits.

The interior of the bag has 2 separate pouches. I put the tube and gloves in one pouch. This is the section of the bag that butts up against the underside of the seat. You don't feel anything at all. Really the divider that creates the 2 pouches keeps the metal bits from rubbing against/maybe puncturing the tube. In the larger pouch I first stuff the patch kit down the bottom of the bag. Then fill it with the tools.
