I sport a $5.00 fleece balaclava from WalMart.

Biggest problem so far is that it fogs my glasses when I cover my nose. This is usually offset by the wind clearing the lenses just as fast, but it can provide sudden blindness if I exhale while checking my blind spot.

I don't think there's a great solution out there for that, other than pulling it off your nose. That works, but then your nose gets cold. I find myself moderating my temp by adjusting the bottom half of it.

Mine is skin tight (even after stretching it while using it for a few years), and riding with it on is really quiet. Even with glasses.

I had the LG/XL size and exchanged it today for a SM/MED. Now it fits to my face without any bulges. I also ended up with the windproof fabric instead of the fleece, even the smaller fleece version fit poorly by my eyes.

I'll give this one a shot during my commute tonight.

I checked Walmart and Target and came up empty. I bought my knit ski mask from walmart last year, probably for around 5 dollars. I like the shape of the eye holes, quintessential burglar mask.

I have a balaclava, used it once, I generally roll with a neck gaitor and 180's earmuffs. I found that the balaclava had a tendency to fog my glasses, riding blind isn't that much fun. It could be just me, but, I really like to see where I am going.

I highly recommend the Harley Davidson brand. Very soft, thin and effective in keeping the wind off and warm. I've used this one for 5 years with not much sign of wear.

Jeez, people have such high a unrealistic expectations nowadays! You want to see where you're going? What's next - you don't want to crash every 100 feet? Sheesh!

I now have both the Under Armour and the Serius balaclavas mentioned in this thread. Serius is much warmer than the Under Armour one. I wore the UA this morning in low 30's F and wind and it was barely adequate. I would not wear it in freezing temperatures. Although, it's cutomizable, you can wear it as hat only or as a gaiter only. But I seem to be more sensitive to cold than most folks so that UA balaclava may work for you in lower temps. But it's basically a shell with no liner. The Serius one has a fleece-like liner and it's much thicker.

They do if you pull them over your nose and the warm, moist air goes right up through the gaps around your nose where your glasses are. If you only pull them over your mouth they shouldn't fog your glasses, in particular if they have vents for breathing.
