Mondays are becoming my hardest commute of the week since I've been tackling long rides on Sundays again. We rode 60 miles yesterday in stiff headwinds much of the way, and my legs were feeling it today. Had a headwind all the way to work as well, but at least it was relatively warm (mid-40s F).

Woke up way late to work and almost said f*** it, but I got up and rode into work, was 22f nice morning weatherwise. Before bed stupid cat managed to get up into box spring of my bed so I had to put the bed on its side and struggle with a not happy cat for a while and while messing with the bed I think I tweaked my back so it was a bit of a painful ride in.

After a week of ice and a week of traveling, it's nice to be back on the bike wagon. 20 mph tailwind and 68 degrees coming in. Wind is supposed to shift and push me home as well. We'll see...

Squirrels are trying to kill me. I had about 5 dart across in front of me at the last second as I passed through a cemetery. Mondays seem to be dodge broken beer bottles day. Still a great ride - nice weather.

lovely snow and ice covered road part of the way to work then clear pavement, cold 17F but light out which is new. Light at 6:30 is nice but colder then riding in the dark. Really nice on the way home too, though I had a car behind me and it would not pass, so finally at an intersection I pulled over to let it pass and as I watched it go down my street I realized there was so much snow that we could not have ridden side by side. They are starting to widen side streets which is good as there is more snow expected later this week.

Terrible ride today! First day on clipless pedals and my legs feel like they have been attacked by a group of outraged tenderising mallets.... not looking forward to the ride home!!!

Amazing photo jdgesus!
It's back to winter here in DC. Mid-twenties and about 1-2" down. I was worrieds about ice but overall the ride was smooth with little traffic. Saw a few tracks in the snow from earlier riders.
This is really messing with my head considering it was in the upper 60's last week.
Picked up some riding liner-shorts in anticipation of warmer temps. I also added a second headlamp which I appreciated greatly this morning.

Topped 1,000 miles YTD on my commute this morning. It was a good ride with a stiff tailwind pushing me along about half the way. It was a total opposite from yesterday, when I was riding into the wind most of the way, but I averaged about the same speed both days. Not sure how I did that.

Meh, even though I didn't feel like I dawdled, I couldn't find/put on all my cool weather stuff in time to make my cutoff for the train, so I had to drive in. Gonna be a beautiful night to ride home, too. Meh, again.

Sadly, the cold weather has come and gone here in southern LA... last week I commuted in shorts and a short-sleeve shirt. I kind of miss it.

Back to work today after the long weekend. Some snow and ice down after last night's storm, but mostly only on the MUP, which I almost didn't take b/c of that, but it was a nice ride in. Sun came out during my ride in and will hopefully go a long way towards melting some of this stuff during the day.

Very slippery ride in today. Lot's of black ice, it's a good thing I ride before rush hour. -0.4C/31F on the ride in. I should have let some air out of my tires before I left this morning and I will before I leave tonight. I'll just have to make sure I don't let out too much.

Ugh...opposite for me. Headwind both ways yesterday. But all in all great weather, and a crisp ride this morning.

Good commute this morning. Colder than I thought it would be, but felt great. Tried a new route, and I could tell by all of the honks that I wasn't welcomed. Such is commuting in Texas.

This truly is the worst bike commuting year in a while for me so far. I have another family issue to deal with that will keep me from riding for the next week. Ridiculous, I tell ya.

DAMN! That is awesome! I like it.....my commute was overcast today and some left over sprinkles from last night. Mud here and there but the fenders sop that up. I'm about to get out of here but my legs are still feeling the 200k brevet from Saturday and the ride home is uphill but at least there aren't the 35+mph sustained headwinds I tackled for 30 miles for the Brevet last weekend...
