Frankenbike commuter pictures?

Hey, basically I just wanted to show a picture of my "frankenbike" and see ones from other people -- knowing that a lot of people out there probably commute on bikes with random, weird parts and configurations.

I enjoy this aspect of cycling -- so figured on a thread.

Mine is just a Surly LHT frame, SLX triple crank, flat bar, one downtube shifter and one old thumb shifter. I know folks can beat that.

I was wondering if there was any particular reason for this? Was it a conscious decision or just using parts you happened to have?

Oh - I just like the shifting of a downtube shifter for the FD. It's fairly quick without any trimming. For the rear I prefer something on the handlebars -- that's all.

It also allows me to mount another flashlight on the left side of the handelbars.

Thank you, I hope I didn't come across as dissing you or your bike, that wasn't my intention, I was just curious.
I prefer stem mounted shifters, (specifically Shimano Fingertip shifters) convenient location, frees up bar space. I had to customize a vintage set to get them on my bike. You gotta love drill point screws and the Dremel tool.

The only down side is, if you go over the bars, stem mounted shifters aren't quite so conveniently located
