How sweaty?

How sweaty do you get on your commute? Or errands? Or even workouts?

I sweat way more than the average individual, and always carry an extra shirt, socks and underoos whenever I ride or workout and when running errands I'm careful to wear concealing clothing, like white t shirts and black shorts.

In cooler to colder weather, not too much as I can dress properly.

In warm to hot weather, quite a bit.

Bikes: everywhere

Commutes/errands not much at all. I did a few days ago when I overdressed. Wore tshirt + fleece under my shell and it was 45 degrees. 45 degrees is more like only long sleeve tee under the shell weather. My commute is short so I toodle along and try not to work up a sweat on hot days.

Workout sweats can get pretty good on humid days.

I don't sweat to much and most of my commutes are within a 3 mile radius.

Bikes: I have 3 singlespeed/fixed gear bikes

It all depends what time of the year it is. In winter I don't sweat a lot, but that's because I dress very light , and I try my best to minimize sweating. Sweating and cold temps is not good, so I try to prevent myself from getting soaked. I found out that the more I ride the better I've become at controling my sweating, good clothing also helps, merrino wool and synthetics keep you warmer even when damp and they dry out much faster then cotton. In summer time when it's hot I sweat a lot ,it's difficult not to, I don't mind sweating when it's hot outside.

I used to sweat a lot more than I do now, since losing weight. I still get pretty sweaty, but I wipe off with a towel when I get to work. Nobody's complained about me stinking the place up in 6 months.

It varies from none to a whole lot.

Key for me at work is to have a desk fan and a spray bottle of rubbing alcohol.

Rapid cool down. I call it an air shower.

I sweat profusely. Even during the cold snap we had recently. Single-digits out and I'm dressed in two lightweight yet long-sleeved wicking t-shirts and a jacket, and I was sweating.

I went 35 years between bike rides due to the sweat issue. It never dawned on me that I could carry dry clothes and change...

I always sweat, except for that rare, cool day when I've dressed just perfectly. But, how much do I sweat? Hard to quantify.

quite a tricky one, i sweat less on long rides than i do on short rides, not sure why, usually on shorter rides such as going to college im quite rushing and going as fast as i can pedal so maybe thats why haha

I sweat like a wh*re in church! Colder weather I'm "better" at controlling it, but I still have to mop up with a towel. The summertime, even in shorts and a t-shirt I still sweat a lot. Since it's not socially acceptable to ride around naked, I'll just have to suffer through sweating through my clothes.

I sweat on every commute because I use a back pack. Other than sweating on my back from the back pack, I hardly sweat. On the way in to work, I will have a sweaty brow, but that's about the extent. I'm hoping I buy panniers soon so this back sweating ends.

I never really sweat in Fall/Winter/Spring. In the heat of the summer, I'll sweat some.

I cycle for transportation; biking slower ends up being faster than changing out of sweaty clothes for short distances.

Dripping, especially on the way home. Even when its 40 degrees out. Sweating after the first mile.

Or even workouts?
No difference. While interval length gets limited by traffic lights, commuting miles can still be six hours of quality riding each week.

Or errands?
Nope.

I practically sweat just thinking about exercising. I didn't used to be that way, but the more I worked out, the quicker and more my body sweated.

One time I got out of a TKD session, walked out of the front door of the studio, stepped off the sidewalk into the parking lot, removed my T shirt and wrung probably about a half cup of sweat out of the shirt. Yeah, it was pretty gross.

I can sweat even when properly dressed for riding at -20*F. I get to work sweaty and cold. My body sweats when the core temp elevates even if my skin is way below normal temp.

I hardly sweat at all, so it makes it easy to commute in my work clothes.

Sweet, I'm not alone. Like others said this issue kept me for committing to this daily until I took the time and spent the money to get the right gear to sort myself out. In the cold I ride in my eVent waterproof and no matter how breathable these things say they are you will sweat! Let alone the cold snap where I layer up so winter or summer I sweat plenty even on my short 5k commute.

Out of curiosity I went for cycle shop base layers and all the proper geeky stuff in as large a size as possible to still wear like a t-shirt. Wear these now, wash face, paper towel body, little Lynx if need be, and a fresh t. 6months, no complaints.

A lot. The worst is when I sweat a bunch but its cold outside. I think the last couple of times I got sick and got the chills was because of this. Extra shirt is key

Very sweaty. I run hot, so I always need to shower after I ride, unless I'm making a conscious effort to go slow and the weather is cool, and even then, it's not a bad idea.

Commute = 13 miles of hard pedaling with a few hills thrown in, pretty sweaty, whether i'm just a little wet or dripping sweat depends on the time of year.
Errands = depends how far and the time of year. A mile in winter, not much, a mile in summer, probably pretty sweaty still.
Workout = (spin bike at the gym) sweat drips covering the floor, I now wear wrist bands to prevent a nasty floor.
