good deal on a very good jacket
I just picked up an Endura Air Defense jacket for $55 on Amazon. Looks like they are only available in XL and in black/grey.Supposed to be very warm, breathe well, and waterproof. Good reviews here , product specs here.
All I can add is that is is remarkably light weight and supple, fits me quite well (I'm 6'3", long arms, 210 lbs, athletic build). I'm amazed that a garment that is so light can do so much. I'll update this review after giving it more use.

rain? in Portland? yeah, I guess there has been some ;-)
no, not yet, it just arrived last night. based on the reviews on chainreactionscycles I expect it to be quite waterproof.

Watch the sizing on Endura jackets - XL for Endura is a 45-47" chest, and that's pretty accurate.
FWIW, I got an XL Endura Air Defense jacket last year. I have a 44" chest and normally wear XL or XXL jerseys/jackets depending on the cut, and the Endura is quite loose.
Absolutely great jacket, though.
Here's the directly link for the deal:

That's Backcountry.com's overstock dumping ground.

Yes, it rained today and I was out in it. AFAICT, it is completely woaterproof. Also checks out for windproof, warm, breathable, and vents well (zip vents in back.)
Very very happy with this jacket, particularly at this price.
