cycling liners
I ride like a 12 mile a way to work and am looking for a cycling shorts liner. I don't want a reg cycling shorts seeing i am not comfortable riding without a reg pants.
I also a lot of times on do a 40 to 50 mile ride on Sunday
Does anyone have any suggestions on what is good

I wear long Under Armour brand shorts beneath cotton shorts with pockets. My commute is about the same distance as yours. The Under Armour shorts last a long time and effectively prevent chafing. I've never owned true cycling shorts.

I just discovered these and love them. You can wear regular clothes and the "pad" is considerably smaller than typical bike shorts so you dont feel like you're walking around wearing a diaper.

+1 on the Andiamo. I also have some from REI and they appear to be clones of the Andiamos. I have been using these to commute in for about 4 years and I can wear them under my regular pants after I get to work. I ride in REI Headwinds pants in the colder seasons and then zip off leg hiking pants in the summer. Can't say enough good things about them a lot lighter than regular bike shorts so they are cooler.

Go to the bikenashbar site. I bought some from them a couple of years ago and when they were delivered they were the Andiamo brand.
Might have changed now but still very similiar

Pearl Izumi makes a nice liner short. I have several pairs of these and really like them.

I've used Andiamos and one or two other brands over the years. Because of the thinner pad, they're not as comfortable on the bike, but they're more comfortable off the bike. I would wear them when I was going to ride somewhere and be hanging out for a while, and didn't want to change.
The downside was that they cost almost as much as off-brand bike shorts, and they wore out a lot faster. So these days I just wear regular underwear or bike shorts under my clothes, depending on the length of the ride and the weather.
