I am very excited to get my first bicycle and join the Los Angeles bicycling community...I am looking at the Marin Stinson 2010 bike and was wondering if anyone has any experience with this bike. I am planning to ride on the beach and some bike paths near my home; maybe even to work (about 3 miles).

Well, I can't tell you anything personally but our local bike shop is a Marin dealer and they LOVE that bike. In a good way, not in a "that thing is gonna make me so much money in repairs" way.
