As I was getting dressed to ride to work this morning, they played a public service announcement about bike commuting on the radio. I was listening to one of those all news all the time stations too, not the commie pinko NPR type that you'd expect to play something like that. The P.S.A. mentioned how more people are not only commuting, but using simpler bikes to do so - and was by an editor for Bicycling Magazine! Who would have expected that?

But even more amazing than that, I saw the same couple walking the same dog on my way in today that I saw on Thursday morning's commute to work. They were all on the right side of the path and the dog was on the leash today, unlike Thursday when the woman wasn't too happy when I politely pointed out it would be a lot easier for all of us if I passed the three of them in the middle of the street we were both going to cross to continue walking on the bikepath than by trying to squeeze between her and the underlean guy on a small section of sidewalk at the end of the bikepath while the dog ran free as the woman suggested. Who knows what kind of amazing things will happen on the way home!
