27'' Wheels and popping spokes...
I got an old beat up 1991 Raleigh Technium as a primary commuter bike. It was cheap, and if it got stolen it wouldn't be a big loss. I kept popping spokes on mostly the rear tire, I think I did pop one in the front as well. So this spring i replaced both the wheels and I'm still popping spokes. Why is this? The wheels also become untrue easily. I'm probably gonna get the spokes fixed and sell it dirt cheap.

The wheels were poorly made or something happened that caused the spokes to loosen up. If the spokes are properly tensioned and are of decent quality, this shouldn't happen.
My brother who lives in Hawaii had problems with one of his bikes popping spokes. He finally figured out that where he kept his bike exposed the wheel to a nice salty breeze which was corroding the spokes.
