I've been loving my decision to buy the Source Eleven since day one. My only real complaint is has been the rear rack which was easily replaced. I did look at the Spot Acme as well but was able to get the Source for cheaper. If you have any specific questions, just ask.

B. no guards to stop straps from going into the rear wheel
C. no integrated lock in the rear wheel
D. no integrated pump in the back

2600 USD ... LOL

some people must have different priorities than me about getting to work and back.

A. In person, the rack looks great but is virtually useless, I'll agree. But I swapped it out for a real rack and can carry anything I want now.
B. Again, a new rack fixed that problem.
C. No, but it does have the mounting bolts to add that if you want. Personally, I don't want to haul that around all the time since I keep my bike in my office.
D. Never even heard of such a thing. But there's plenty of room for a pump in the pannier.

I spent closer to 2100 USD ... not bad for everything that's on it.

I think it's very fair to say that some people have different priorities than you in regards to commuting. Some people drive $80k luxury cars to work. Some people choose a $80 Craigslist bike. Some even think that's crazy and just walk to work. But regardless, it's a personal decision. For me, spending that kind of money to have a nice bicycle that included all of my desires in a commuter was money well spent. :)

Lynskey R210 w/105 - MSRP $3953 (according to their website) - SALE $2934
Source 11 - MSRP $2750 (according to their website) - Purchased for $2100

So no, the Source 11 is cheaper.

Sorry, just trying to correct your obvious math fail. Thanks for contributing to the forums.

the source 11 looks like a really nice bike. if my Scott SUB 10 ever needs replacing, and if i got some money burning a hole in my pocket, that is one hell of a sweet looking commuter bike.

though the BMC UC01 alfine 11 is currently at the top of my "if i had too much money" list.

Specialized sells an expanded line of Source bikes in some Euro markets. Wish you could get them here.

Check out the 12 Source models available in Denmark, for instance:
