The attorney I have spoke with is versed in family law (including cps) and state law regarding the situation.

I see your greatest hurdle dealing with child protection authorities. this is an animal in and of itself that is way bigger than you could possibly deal with. Once they get their claws into your family, there may be no extracting them. I would make sure your lawyer is well versed in dealing with child protective services easily as much or more than dealing with state law.

With the differences in stories flying everywhere, I would feel a thousand percent better having an attorney. This last one just really stuck in my craw

Thank you wayne so much. I do appreciate it so very much. I appreciate everything. Right now the total is 60$ so my daughter and I are that much closer to an attorney.

There are no laws being broken, and if CPS has no problems with it, this story should be closed.

No laws are being broken and at this time CPS has made verbal communication but not written and its hard to tell if their mind will change with the police changing his story. like this https://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/09/07...est=latestnews

I wish you the best of luck in this situation, it does look as though you have plenty of support so that should make it a little easier (hopefully)

I can't believe how slow this forum was yesterday...is everyone on vacation? AM I THE ONLY BIKE COMMUTER LEFT IN THE WORLD?
Whoa, I had a twilight zone attack there for a minute, sorry I blew up.
Come on commuters, any help for this mother of a young bike commuter would be greatly appreciated!

I spent most of my day at work yesterday reading about this. I got rather heated about it, and worried some of my co-workers(oopsies!!!). I'd give more if I could, but with my own little girl on the way, money isn't what it used to be. Don't give in!

Read the threads when it first came up. Hadn't been keeping up but my god what a mess it's become...
Just chipped in, hope you get enough to continue your fight. Have those affluent bike blogs picked up your story? Those guys are probably suckers for things like this where traditional media gets it all wrong.
