old tire uses

Hello, if you can think of any good uses for old bike tires such as a homemade front/rear fender post in here. I thouht of this while on a bike ride. I have 2 tires that are bad and I keep them just in case I need them for something. I'm not a pack rat. I throw away what I can not use. You might be able to make a helmet cover out of one to. The tires I use are 26/2.10 mountain bike tires

So post the following

How wide the tire is.

What you are going to use it for

Maybe directions on how you did it or how you are going to do it.

Anything you think would be helpful to know.

Bikes: Giant, Trek

There's a guy in PDX who sells belts made from them.

Rebicyclist

I've used them as tire liners in my studded tires.

Bikes: Kona Dawg, Surly 1x1, Karate Monkey, Rockhopper, Crosscheck , Burley Runabout,

My cover fell off of my brake on the Corolla. A peice of nevegals, two zip ties and some contact cement worked great.

I like that idea. I'm making my own studded this winter. To save a little cash. I thought of making Shoe covers by cutting them into sections and forming a shoe cover. I haven't thought of how to do it yet tho.
