A more interesting commute
Conversation with my wife a couple of weeks ago:
Wife: How was your ride home today?
Me: Not so good. I got doored.
Wife: Maybe a different route would be more interesting.

Maybe she has a point
But on a serious note, one way to
avoid dooring is to stay at least a
door width apart from cars.

Getting doored is anythng but boring; still...
... that was the joke. She's not a biker, so she's never run across the past-tense verb form of "door."
OTOH, I ride in the city all the time, and this is the first time in almost 40 years I've gotten doored, so I guess I'm doing OK. Ironic that it happened in our downtown's freshly installed bike lane.
