Hot hot and hot on the east coast. Lost my car keys on the way home. Maybe that is a sign...no more car.

Disgustingly hot and muggy this week. Tonight, though, I pedalled past a field so full of fireflies it sparkeld.

Long, cool ride home last night. Felt really good. The colder weather keeps just about everyone indoors by their heaters or fires. Means fewer problems on the cycleway.
Legs were leaden this morning, and there was a very cool nor-westerly wind. But it's now a glorious sunny winter's day... just right for a bike ride, which we did to complete the third and final session of the bike course I was conducting. Rounded off with a coffee at a cafe right on Hobart's waterfront. B-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l.

Well, there's good news and bad news. The good news is the rain finally found me (it took almost three days after cleaning my bike - that is excessive so the drought isn't ready to break yet). The bad news is that I think we can just about kiss "winter" goodbye for now. I didn't get an "official" temperature this morning, but I'd be very surprised if it was under 25 deg C.

warm this morning, humidity you can cut with a knif, no complaints from me I've been waiting for this a long time. Two water bottles in 18.5 miles, average speed 13 mph, birds singing and a beaver swimming accross the river, oh, and I found a brand new pair of lawn trimmers on the side of the road.

Hot here in Southern Ontario too. Overnight low was about 20 degrees C, which, IMHO, is a good number for the daytime high! It's also really humid and gross out. This morning I made good time again, but tonite is looking like thunderstorms (which at least may cool things down and break this streak of nasty weather!)

Starting to warm up to this new weather. It's a shock to go from the chilly 60s last weekend to the muggy 90s the past few days. Had a fantastic ride in this morning. 70F and calm. There were a lot of cyclists on the road! I didn't count, but I'll bet there were nearly as many bikes as cars this morning. (School's out for the summer, so auto traffic is much lighter.) I got passed by a dozen cyclists in a pace line, and that really energized me, and I made good time. The ride home will be interesting - near 100F and still muggy.

The ride home last night was not bad as what I thought it would be. It was hot, but there was a decent breeze to make it tolerable.
The ride in this morning was great. There is a small creek that I go buy and parallel to and it really stunk this morning, usually that means rain is coming and sure enough the weather report says rain this afternoon. Going get wet on the ride home I think.

Hot and muggy the last couple days, with afternoon temps in the 90s.
But this morning, it rained gently. It was cool and pleasant and an enjoyable change. I generally don't ride in the rain because I wear glasses and don't trust drivers.
Fortunately this rain comes with a cool front that will drop temps about 10 degrees for a few days.

It was 70 F/21.2 C with 94% himidity when I headed out this morning. I downed a water bottle at the half way point. Per the norm on hot days, I did not seem to sweat much until I got to work. It was almost like having a bucket of water dumped over my head once I got off the bike.

It's going to be blazingly hot tonight, especially at 6pm when I have a softball game. But perfect riding weather at 6am this morning.
Did I mention that it's going to be hot today?

I nearly received a big time ticket this morning. The bike cops were in full gear today (in Manhattan) and were handing out tickets like candy to cyclists. A fews seconds before I was about to cross 42nd street, another commuter jumped the red light in front of me. Those bike cops went after him fast.
A couple of blocks later they caught him. Boy.... That could have been me. If I'm not correct, the fine for riding across a red light in New York City is $250.00 dollars.
Watch out for those bike cops!

It was 79 F / 26 C when I left for work this morning. It is now 90 F / 32 C and rising. Hot and hazy, but, so far, only 48% humidity, so nice riding conditionsgood. Lots of cyclists out today, including one roadie who blew past me on the North Barton St. downhill.

at 11pm last night as I was leaving the office (yes, I have no life), I discovered my rear tire was almost flat - I didn't want to risk pumping it up for it to fail on the way home but also couldn't face changing it right then and there
so I cadged a ride from a coworker and took the metro this morning - hopefully will get to ride home today

Almost a repeat of yesterday, Clear, warm, but with the welcome addition of a light tailwind. More people out today, but spaced out and well behaved. On the ride home, the light tailwind was a stronger headwind, and it was hotter --upper 70s I'd say. But I was motivated to get home and really cranked it. Nice rides both ways today.

Beautiful day for riding
In addition to the normal commute my buddy came over with his brand new mountain bike. We rode from my place on some dirt/gravel trails to the Samammish River trail and on to the Redhook brewery. We had the same headwind as Kodama but on the way back it served to push us, a couple of burgers and few pints along at a nice pace
36 miles for the day and I don't feel bad at all, looking forward to riding again tomorrow

Hot, humid, roads full of impatient drivers, new blacktop in many places on my route, Bike works great. What more could I ask for, I'm just so happy summer finally made it.

Pretty decent ride in this morning. The rain showers pushed all the heat and humidity out so it really nice coming in this morning. The only bad thing this morning is that I got a flat. The ride home looks to be a good one with nice weather.
Starting to ride home too has got to be the best thing I have done yet. I am getting in 24 miles a day and I feel great. Plus it gets me home actually faster then it would have on the bus.

Had a nice break from the hot humid weather we've been having, so I felt energized this morning. I cranked 'er up to the big 'ring and did the last 1/3 of my ride mashing big gears. Felt pretty good, and got up to 52 km/hr for a while - felt good to be able to move along at the flow of traffic instead of getting passed all the time. One stupid truck almost pulled out infront of me, but realized how fast I was going and stopped with plenty of time to spare. Wasn't too close of a call, so I just shook my head as I zipped along infront of him. All in all, a fantastic ride in - and looks to be just as nice on the way home tonite.

Just a hair cooler and slightly less humid than yesterday. Things are supposed to cool off this weekend and we should see a sharp drop in humidity.

Had a great ride home yesterday until i got a flat. Walked the bike a mile to the LBS in 90 F / 32 C heat. Walking is MUCH hotter than riding. Came home soaked; spent the next three hours shoveling a ton or so of mulch. Utterly exhauseted. Rode the backup bike in today -- after a few miles, the rear derailleur shifter broke, leaving me with a wide-ratio 3-speed. It actually works pretty well in this configuration. The good part is that I can now ride my backup bike to the shop and leave it, rather than having to wrestle with the bike rack.

Heat, baby. HEAT !!!! No jacket today, just a light shirt. Warming up fast. Slight tailwind made for a rocket ride. Cannot wait for the ultra hot ride home, where I'll add 10 miles and monster hills. I've waited all year for this !!!
