Cold and raining. Worked out fine. Wore full Gore-Tex and foot booties. Only saw one other rider.

The ride home was miserable, since I still have my cold.

I drove today. :(

windy windy windy... at one point I actually thought I was going backwards...
but first time on the bike since last tuesday, so still felt good!

brrrrrr about 25 this morning. no wind so not too bad. i need to get out the booties for my feet.

40, wind is suppose to kick in for the ride home. Tried the new bike camera this morning. Not bad even though it was still dark. Got good video of being buzzed at least 8x and two right turns in front of me from the left lane, just a typical morning commute.

Cold and windy. Gonna be a lil' warmer but windier on the ride home. I may leave some gear at work so I won't have to battle the wind with a lot of heavy gear.

Nice this morning. Low 40s, pretty dark, but with a good tailwind. I'm not so sure about the rest of the week. Supposed to get some snow. Probably not much down at this low altitude though, and it shouldn't be cold enough to stick for long anyway.

I scolded a wrong-way cyclist. Dark clothing. No lights. Not much ambient light. Downhill. Dumb.

This week has been awesome! I live in FLA & we're having our first "cold front" of the year. Yesterday was shorts & t-shirt, like normal, but NO sweat! Today I woke up & it was in the 40's so out came the pants & hoodie. No, i don't wear cycling specific clothing (it's only an 11 mile round trip) But i DID attatch my Zero Per Gallon patch to my backpack last night......oh, and I wore my courderoy Walz Cap too :)

Cold, windy, wet. The forecasters totally blew this one. I rode in yesterday leaving my rain jacket at home, when I looked at the radar, half the screen was blue with an approaching cold front. My wife had the day off and offered to pick me up but I decided to ride anyway. Luckily I picked just the right time and got home between downpours. I left late this morning and saw a handful of riders. Just remembered, gotta get my riding clothes out of the backpack and leave them out to dry. I guess Winter really is coming...

Drove in. Bergen county has around 40-50 mph wind advisory. Dont want to go out on a deathwish :( Not so happy about it :(

Cold. It was 36 degrees (F) when I left this morning. I was quite cozy, though, in my tshirt, sweatshirt, fleece pull-over, fleece gloves, riding shorts and sweatpants. My face was pretty cold, but that's because some dummy (me) left the Gator-mask-thing at the office yesterday. D'oh!

Of course, even though it was cold, riding was much better than the hour-long traffic jam my co-worker was trapped in!

Great cycling weather today, high of 65, low of 54. I also had a nice tailwind, so I felt very fast. On the way home I am expecting a headwind, which I get on a lot of days.

I had to take the bus this morning in light of the 50 MPH winds we are expecting here in Philadelphia. Cold and rainy I can handle. But getting blown into the side of a bus, not so much.

Riding home yesterday was a shock because it was colder than when I came in. Brrr. But I bundld up pretty well this morning!

Cold, 30 degrees this morning.

Coldest commute so far, temps in the mid-30s. Frost on the roofs. Very pleasant ride; I had just the right amount of layers- cycle briefs under track pants on the bottom, t-shirt, long-sleeve t-shirt and hoodie on top. Also wore full gloves for the the first time this season which probably made all the difference.

A nice dry cool 57 F degrees and my bike is in the shop :cry: What luck :(

Had a close call this morning. Turning left from a left turn lane on a left turn arrow a cager in the opposite direction attempted the right turn at the same time. There's only one lane and although solid matter is mostly empty space, it is still highly improbable that we could occupy the same space simultaneously. I yelled 'hey' loud and started veering for the on-coming lane (didn't want to stop as there was a cager behind me too). The car stopped halfway in the lane so i could ride around. That was a really, really stupid move and i don't quite see how they thought they could pull it off.

South Florida, I am so jealous of people that live in paradise. Gators ever try to grab you while you are riding to work?:)

Seems I've forgotten how to dress for rain. Forgot the shoe covers so my socks are wet. My shirt is longer than the jacket so the uncovered bottom part is wet. And even the pit zips let some water in. I probably could've used the helmet cover too and gloves would've been nice since the rain made things a little chillier. Oh well, it's supposed to rain tomorrow too. I'll have the full spaceman suit on and maybe a trick or treat bag.

Ugh. Same here. Where's your commute? I go from Mount Airy to Center City (using the Lincoln Drive and Kelly Drive paths). The winds off the Schuylkill can be BRUTAL.

Still sick today, so I drove to work. Blech.

I have a morning job interview tomorrow, so I'll probably drive tomorrow also.

I hate driving... it reminds me that my car is in bad shape.

Craigslist is your friend. Pick up a backup bike for about $50 and you're on your way, even when your pride and joy is in the shop.

My main commuter is awaiting a new wheel to be delivered today, so I'm riding my '84 Nishiki with the bent frame. Fortunately I'll be able to give the old girl a proper send-off soon, as I picked up an '84 Schwinn yesterday on Craiglist for $10. The Schwinn needs a lot of work, but my Nishiki parts should drop right in.
