Sources to find other commuters in my area?
My office where I work was relocated a few months ago from the Downtown Los Angeles area to the Chatsworth (San Fernando Valley) area. When I was downtown there were a slew of folks that I met over the years to commute with and by having a crew of other folks to ride with, the miles sped by faster and it was just generally more fun.
Now that I'm located in a less densely populated area of L.A., I'm not meeting anyone along my route who commutes. I've tried several different routes, but so far, no luck.
Does anyone know of any places where folks who are looking for other commuters to ride with can find each other?
Thanks...

I helped with a Facebook page for LA commuters but it never really took off. https://www.facebook.com/groups/185620291520823/
Where do you ride from? Not your route but I am a Silver Lake to Santa Monica commuter.

I was a Studio City to Downtown and now am a Studio City to Chatsworth commuter. The funny thing is, my old commute was 15.1 miles. My current commute, purely by chance, is 15.05 miles. There's a bit less elevation gain on the new route, but I was surprised when I discovered how just close the distances were. Anyhow, thanks for the reply and I'll take a look at the facebook page.

Well that certainly was my experience too when I worked Downtown. I ran into other commuters on a weekly basis while riding home from Downtown. In fact, I barely needed to arrange to meet people on that commute. I'd run into people along the River Bike Path or in Griffith Park so often, that even if I hadn't arranged to ride home with someone, I was ofen doing so anyhow, just by virtue of the number of folks using these biking thoroughfares.
Now that I'm in Chatsworth, I've been riding 4 or 5 days a week since September 3 and have not seen a single other commuter heading in my direction. I've seen a few people going the opposite way, but none headed the same way as me. I keep switching streets, but so far, no luck. Frequently I'll see someone riding in my direction, but it's been people who are (and I don't mean to seem too elitist here, but) riding at 5 miles an hour on the sidewalk on a beach cruiser. And while I am always glad to see anyone on a bike, that's not really who I'm looking to commute with.
Part of it may be that I'm traveling in the dark in both directions, so there are fewer folks out riding then, so I'm hopeful that in the spring I'll find some folks when there's more light.
