Difference between U/D shackle/lock?
Hello
(If this is not the suitable section in the forum to ask a lock-related question, please point me in the right direction or move the thread there)
After getting my commuter bike stolen, I'm looking for really secure U locks and was told to check the Sold Secure site that tests products in the UK.
I currently use a folding Abus Bordo Granit X-Plus 6500 and learned how to lock it securely (not leaving space between the wheel/frame and a fixed point), but I'd like to also get a U lock when I need to leave my bike outside until late at night (which was when it got stolen, in a quite lively area).
For "Bicycle Gold" items, they have "D Shackle", "U Shackle", and "U Lock", and they all look the same.
Would I be correct in understanding that "D Shackle" is really the tiny one that you should as a lock with a heavy duty chain, while U Shackle and U Lock are synonyms?
Thank you.

Tire/Tyre, center/centre, Aluminum/aluminium ,, Might just be different versions of the same ,
like the language.
Get more than one lock, and if they require greatly different tools to defeat then that is better.
