I am shopping for a rack and I have read online that the Tubus brand racks have optional accessories for mounting their racks on bikes that do not have braze ons for racks. Check it out.

Thanks everyone. I have been looking at several frames and I think I'm going to get the pake cmute frame. It's one of the least expensive frames that is steel made and it includes all the braze ons for everything. It also allows the use of fatter tires if I want to. I like the options of this frame and the price tag.

I'm also wondering if I should just keep it 7 speed with my parts and just use the down tube shifters instead of bar ends. It's mostly flat land here and I don't use about 90% of the gears on my current commuter. I could probably do with a single speed or a 1x7 setup on the pake also.
