reflective stickers on bike?
Do you have them? Do they work? Where did you buy them and which brand do you recommend?

I use SOLAS reflective patches, and they are very reflective even at a high angle.

They help. I wouldn't rely on them to replace lights, but they certainly help. It's best to put it on moving parts - crank arms, rims (the inner face, not the braking area! - because the motion identifies you as "bicycle" rather than "lamp post."
I usually use DOT reflector tape (the alternating red-and-white stuff you see on the sides of semi trucks) which I can get cheaply at auto parts stores. It comes in 2 or 3 foot lengths and I just cut it up and put it where I need it - white on the front and red on the back usually.

You can get white and red reflective tape at walmart in the automotive department. It's pretty much all the same stuff. A couple feet for $3-4. It's best to cut it into little strips and spread them throughout the bike.
Whether it works or not; just what kind of studies would satisfy you? You're asking this because you're trying to do your best to be seen. Would you ever feel content not stickering up your bike when you have every opportunity to do so at such little cost?

My rear lights are a standard blinkie and a Coast Guard life preserver strobe. The bright flash stands out in the ambient light.

I placed 4 white 3M reflective squares (about an inch square) evenly spaced on my front and back rims. Clearly visible at night from a wide angle (not just from the side) and the fact that these are seen spinning catches attention. They are also less dorky than the plastic reflectors attached on spokes.
At the back I cut up and attached an orange ankle reflector on the fender and one of my rear lights is a Radbot 1000 with a built in reflector. I also sewed in a bright green triangle on my back-pack and wear bright orange ankle reflectors all the time.
