You commute on days when forecasters are calling for severe thunderstorms in the afternoon. ... which is about every other day here this summer. If I didn't bike every time the forecasters called for thunderstorms around here, I would hardly ever ride.

when family members will bring you old bikes they found in the dump because they know that it will make you happy and that you will surely use some part of the bike if not the whole bike.

You should change the oil in your car every 3500 miles OR once a year.

When your co-workers or classmates are stunned to find out you actually have a driver's license (and only because you needed to get it renewed)

When you're having a drink at the company Christmas party, and your coworkers are concerned that you've fallen off the wagon. (Since the only reason to commute by bike is because you've lost your license to a DUI.)

You've grown impervious to others assuming why are not driving a car.

"Must've had a couple of DUIs, poor guy..."

Bikes: Nothing amazing... cheap old 21 speed mtb

When everyone at local bike shop asks how far you rode today knowing its a number higher than 50km. I didn't think I rode that much, but it seems 1200km or better a month is more than 99% of the local bike 'club' members ride in 3 months. That and when you sell your motorcycle and use your scooter as a 'no parking' barrier because you can ride to places faster on a bicycle anyway.

You are the only one who cares that the motorcycle people are parking at the bike rack...

The only deer you've hit has been with bike...

You forget your pants and rather than just buying new pants across the street, you bike back home...

I see that and figure "if I time it right, I should be just fine."
