Is this a steal?
Im buying my first bike, and I came upon this on Craigslist. Im looking for a commuter that could last me a long time and that I could maybe do some longer distance trips on. What are you guys' opinions on this? Is it a good deal, or should I save up and get a new bike for my first?

No. If that is your budget, look elsewhere for used SS. Even my snobby LBS doesn't charge that much for a late model used Schwinn.
Not to insult your intelligence, but that bike only has one gear. If that is what you are looking for, hammer away, otherwise bone up on single speed, fixed gear, and multi gear.
Much luck to you, and welcome to the forum!

I'm not expert enough to judge. But the price does look a bit high to me.
Congratulations, though, on having the smarts to come here and ask. You'll get the answers you need.
Looks like a 'thumbs down' so far.

Seems like an OK deal, but not a great one to me. MSRP is $620. I'd rather get a Madison for cheaper sans trainer but if you wanna trainer for this winter, I'd consider the deal if the bike fits and works well.
