commute DTLA to westside- route suggestions?

Got a meeting near Olympic and Bundy and thought I would bike it

I would love suggestions for good bike routes from DTLA.

Early afternoon, so the traffic shouldn't be piling on yet.

thanks for any suggestions

Jump on the Red line to 7th+Metro. Take Expo line to Culver City, Get off at La Cienega. Ride a couple blocks west to Balona Creek bike path. Pedal west to boardwalk (7 miles). Pedal north to Olympic, pedal or jump a bus east to Bundy. A Shorter way is to pedal from Culver city to Bundy via National blvd

I went to Google Maps just as a lark and ask it to give me directions from Downtown LA to Olympic and Bundy, changed it to "by bike" and this is what it came up with.

thanks, I may try that on the way back. I would like to bike all the way back.

The Metro going out is a great idea. I can reduce my sweat factor for the job .

Slightly longer, but this is the route I usually take when gong that way. Small section on Wilshire where 8th doesn't continue that I usually just take the side walk. Used to travel from Miracle Mile area to Santa Monica daily so that is part of my route.

Venice Blvd has a full lane bike lane from the beach all the way to downtown( a block from Staples center).

Hey guys, thanks for the route tips. Venice is a good one!
I stumbled on this site with bike route maps - lanes, paths, routes all marked.

Google maps has a bicycle layer you can turn on that gives you the same info.
