Winter riding reminder
Many of you don't need to hear this but I hope it helps someone. Just thought I would mention my winter reminders for you snow/ice riders. We had snow last week and I put on the studs and inflated to 55lbs. Tuesday morning I was riding a little to fast and careless(to much weight on the front) and went down on ice. So remember to run the tires a little lower and lean back a bit. You think I would learn after enough winters.

Thanks. It's been a long time since I've gone down. But at least one reason is that when there's snow pack on the roads I move only very slowly.
It's just not good to get over-confident on that stuff.
I suppose another reason that I don't go down much is because I bike a good deal less and drive a good deal more in January. It's kinda too bad. But I'm willing to coast for one month as long as I ride seriously the other eleven.

Uh huh. I went down on an icy patch Friday night, going downhill, no less. The bike went right out from under me and I'm lucky there wasn't a car behind me. Next snowstorm I'm walking my bike down that particular hill.
