Had a good ride in this morning! Wet & 12C but little actual rain. Going to leave the bike at work and ride it home tomorrow afternoon.

43f/6c this morning with a very light headwind. Very pleasant. Spring is finally beginning to take hold.
This isn't my week. Monday the elevator was out of service. Today I forgot my door access card and had to stand around outside like a doofus until somebody who knew me could let me in. Only the second time in many years that I've done that. At least it's a sunny day.

I was an idiot today. My morning routine involves a 10 minute walk with the the dog. For some odd reason I put on a baseball cap to walk around the block. It wasn't until I arrived at work that I notices that I never removed the hat inplace of the helmet. I felt I cheated, I'll be extra careful riding home now that I'm aware of it.

If it weren't for the pollen, the weather we are having would be close to ideal. Morning temps are in the upper 50s and afternoons in the 70s. That said, the pollen is so thick right now that you practically choke on it. My bike and tires are coated in yellow powder, and you can see yellow clouds billowing from the trees when the wind blows. My lock jammed up this morning when I got to work, and I am fairly certain that the pollen is to blame. The tumbler literally would not turn, so I had to lock my bike in a storage room at work. Will try to spray the inside of the lock with WD-40 at lunch to see if I can unjam it.

Wet and 50F this morning, lots of debris on the roads and MUP. The crap is from thunderstorms yesterday which made for my scariest ride of the year (so far). I thought I picked a lull in the afternoon's storm (according to the radar) but lull is relative - it poured on me for an hour. The scary part was the lightening and high winds. Give me ice and snow, lightening is just plain freaky

Beautiful sunny morning but a strong crosswind/headwind. A cool 4 celcius.
very nice ride.
I should have a good tailwind tonight, I hope the forecast will be accurate.
I should hit the 2000 kms tonight on my way home.

Front tube puncture on the way in to work yesterday, switched it out and continued. Halfway home, rear tire started rubbing and that's when I noticed 4 broken spokes, limped home. Other bike hasn't been tuned up so I got a ride in today.
Undecided as to whether to just have the spokes replaced with better quality ones (bike is a 2002 Norco Bigfoot, no not an expensive one) or go for a new wheel. Wheel was replaced 3-4yrs ago but likely only 1,000km on it so, theoretically, the rim and hub should be ok but I'll ask the LBS about those too.

Nice ride; missed a chance for 3 days in a row by driving on Monday. Darn it. Driving the rest of the week.

Cool and windy. 48F. I would have been perfectly comfortable except for forgetting my gloves. Met a buddy to do our old pre-work ride. Good times.

Ride home looks about perfect, at 72F, 6mph SSW winds... Going to plug in the iphone, set my Strava (I always forget...), and enjoy the ride!

What a great commuting day it was today. 42 deg this morning, light NW headwind. 59 deg, a 20 mph NW tailwind this evening sure made for a spirited ride back home. The last 4 miles toward my home are all roller coaster hills and I cruised those up and down at 19 mph. Amazing how the wind works on you.

I had an impromptu day off today. I didn't have any work scheduled so I didn't go in (boss doesn't care). We also happened to get a few inches of snow today. So my bf and I decided to go out for a snow ride. The roads and MUP were just wet, except for snow on the wooden bridges. We ended up riding for almost 3 hours on the bike path along the Colorado River, maybe 15 miles total. No one else was out on the path and it was pretty with snow on all the trees and bushes.

Nice day today. Had to fight headwinds on the way home, but at least they were constant and not gusty.

Had to go to a different location downtown today and then over to Brooklyn. Had to take Canal Street to Manhattan Bridge. Didn't like it all that much. I must say I like the bike laned streets better than those without. Funny, I've spent most of my adult life cycling without bike lanes but now that I use them more regularly I'm preferring them most of the time.
I've got my NYC route down now and I don't like changing it unless it improves it. Today it was NOT improved. Cobblestones, potholes and Multi laned streets with heavy traffic rushing from stoplight to stoplight and cabs getting way too pushy to get by me just stop in 50'. I have to bring a whole other game face to my riding when it gets like that, which I can do, but I find it tedious.
Otherwise gorgeous weather. And a really nice ride home on the west side path at a decent pace.

Warm ride in with off and on rain. Tourist season is beginning so I'll likely go my river route home to avoid the crowds.

Nice quiet ride in this morning, 28degF, and calm winds. I think the wind will be right off the ocean tonight so I will be back to having a headwind. Glad to be done with snow for this year. Birds a chirping everywhere and trees are starting to bud. The golf course has a slight hint of green coming on so thats a good sign. It will be my last commute for awhile as I will be working out of town for a couple weeks. Shucks.
