Sunny and 52°F. Sweet smell of the trees and flowers in bloom and some hot air balloons drifting to the west. Makes you just want to keep on riding!

I did the exact same thing yesterday (8th) but mine only added four miles. You're right it does seem different commuting in a little later.

73 and clear here in Okeechobee today, but I'm in the little pickup for the commute...woke up sore and tired feeling from the four days that I rode the bike to and from work already this week. I just don't have it in me to make the ride five days in a row.....yet. I'll get there. Next week I'm out of town Monday - Wednesday for a conference, and I don't know if I'll take the bike to Daytona and try to find time to ride it, or not...

I felt leisurely today. There was this dark cloud threatening rain, but it didn't rain, and I just ambled quietly in. Nice to be back on the bike after yesterday's wimp-out.

Didn't bike commute yesterday because my wife needed my help hauling stuff of hers from the car to her office (she had minor foot surgery on Monday and struggles to walk as it heals). Was planning on riding in this morning but it was too cold and rainy. I can dress for cold, dry weather; I can dress for warm, wet weather ( but today, it was 1C (34F) and pouring and an afternoon high of 3C (37F), I don't have the proper gear to keep me both dry and warm. I'd like to get some Showerpass pants, water-resistant booties and gloves but until then, this type of condition, I'll bus it in.

Have a good weekend everyone!

I don't usually check in when I don't ride but last night when I asked my wife if I needed to pick up our daughter later today she said yes. This morning she says, "oh I'll get her, you ride your bike." It was too late - argh!

Beautiful day and a great commute this morning. Our city had a Bike to Work event downtown, so I made a slight detour in my commute so I could participate. Translation: I was hoping they would have free food and some schwag. Ending up getting a couple of free cups of coffee and some fruit salad for my efforts. The event had a great turnout, with about 100 bike commuters -- most of whom I doubt commute more than once or twice a year, but it's a start. We had a police escort through downtown and didn't have to stop for any intersections, which was nice.

A cool 5C/41F, sunny, and a light headwind, making me work a little harder this morning.

Overcast and cool with threatening rain clouds in the distance, but what kept me from cycling today wasn't the weather, but a slight fever getting worse and a feeling of drowsiness and fatigue. Just got back from work, and am feeling much better than before so I'll try and cycle a bit more during the weekend to catch up for the lost miles today.

Have a great weekend!

Woke this morning to light/moderate rain and 45 degrees. With the added incentive that the kids needed my car today, I set out on my road bike in the rain. Also gave me the opportunity to use my new rain gear.

Got quite a shock when almost half way into the commute, i was confronted by a wild turkey. just missed him by feet and scared the SH*T out of me. So much for a tranquil commute.

Bikes: A friend of a friend gave me an old steel Japanese frame for free. I painted and put it together with a little help from my bicycle mechanic boyfriend. There are bits and pieces of several other bikes lying around our apartment.

Today, as I rode 6 miles home from work, it started to rain heavily. I was almost home when a car started to back out of a parking space along the road which gave me little time to stop or go around. My brakes were slick, so I turned onto the sidewalk and crashed into a table next to the front window of a cafe. The people sitting inside looked at me like I was insane... it was the most fun I had all day.

A very slight cool down, 50F/10C as I rode in...it felt warmer to me but that is what the radio said.

It was 38f when I left the house this morning, with clear blue skies mostly and a light westerly wind. I enjoyed my ride in this morning. I am planning for all five days this week to ride to work. It takes some planning on my part cause two afternoons after work I have pt but riding makes any day a good day.

Beautiful morning to start out the week, with clear skies, light winds and temps about 50 F. After having rain in the forecast every day last week, the weather guys are forecasting sunny skies for this whole week -- if you can believe them, and I don't. However, at least the outlook is encouraging, and I'll shoot for a 5-bagger if the weather holds. Rode my touring bike this morning just for a change of pace. It is heavy and slow, but I still enjoy riding it.

Having stripped off my aerodynamic shell last night, so that I'm riding a normal old-fashioned road bike again, it was a little chilly for me at 6°c. But the forecast shows warming through the week and little or no rain, which would be glorious.

Surprisingly cold this morning at -1 celcius with the windchill factor so, yes, a lot of wind!

Few snow flakes on the way. After the 15-20 celcius of last week it's a tough monday.

37F this morning (that's a "3" three) - geez! I got all geared up, rolled down the driveway, and discovered I had a flat. I guess better to have a flat at home than somewhere along the route!

A very nice 11C/52F and an easy ride with a light tailwind most of the way. Very pleasant.

Today I voiced my disapproval and displeasure with a fellow bike commuter. He kept jumping lights, oblivious to the fact that it did not save him any time. Which should have been obvious after I caught him at the 3d light. Dumbass.

It's National Bike To Work Week here is the US. It was 35F/2C but sunny and little to no wind when I left the house this morning. Had a great ride in, even added a couple of extra miles. Things are finally start to turn green nad the leaves on the trees are starting to come.

Cold in eastern TN this morning. About 38*F. Biked to school in a fleece coat, pants, and gloves.
BUT was able to get this pic of sunrise on my ride in.
