Bikes: Cannondale Synapse '06, Mongoose titanium road bike '00--my commuter. Yes, Mongoose once made a decent ti road bike.

Once on my commute I went this fast: **------------** Now try to beat that.

My top speed was 43.2 mph going down a very steep hill, but my average is about 15mph.

When commuting to and from work I go at around 8mph I think.

I pushed hard once and managed to reach around 20mph. My three speeder isn't that fast.

My commute starts with about an 8 percent 1/2 mile downhill run. 31 mph max yesterday morning which is fairly typical. Someone named this stretch Bonzai in Strava because if you don't ride the brakes like me can easily be up in the 40+ mph range. I'm just not that comfortable in the early dawn hours going faster on a narrow curvy two lane road.

Have been working to crack the elusive 20 mph average speed barrier on my morning commute. 16 miles and 1,300 ft descending on my route with only a couple of hundred ft of climbing. Getting close. 19.7 average mph yesterday. Just need a little more caffeine or tailwind or both.

I think I get about 10 mph according to my speedo with it set rite with it set wrong I get 25 on my hardest rides and a few down hills I get 30 or 32 that's with it set wrong set rite I get 15 to 20 I wonder if every bodies speedo is set rite don't sound like they are and if you do manage to get 25 to 30 on flats you are pushing your self really hard.
