swallowed by a puddle

Left for work this morning after a night of rain. Road was wet, but drying, so not a bad day to commute. After dodging a few puddles, including a couple where I know the road is rough I came up to a four lane road crossing. I was focused on timing the traffic and dipped into a puddle, ony to find it was a flooded pot hole at least 6" deep! Down I go, but luckily I was moving slow waiting for traffic. A little road rash but a major wake up call to keep an eye on the road, esp with spring pot holes.

Water is deceptive! Cross not unto yon puddle, for verily I say unto thee, yon shallow puddle doth harbor a yawning abyss. Yea, a gaping chasm doth await thee in the water's embrace!
