Front Derailleur Advice

I am a regular bike commuter in North Carolina. I use a 1995 Specialized Rockhopper (https://tinyurl.com/ld9v9dw). My front derailleur broke off. What triple front derailleur is available now which is compatible with that older bike? I believe it had a Shimano Alivio, bottom-pull/clamp-on 31.8 mm. It looks like a Shimano R453 Triple may work, I can't find information on the geometry of the 1995 Specialzed Rockhopper to see if it is compatible with the Shimano R453 Triple. Thank you. Greg

Did you post your question in the mechanic forum? Those guys know a lot.

My guess is that any FD that clamp on 31.8mm and is bottom pull should do the job but I'm no expert.

I have an old Deore LX from around that time that should be compatible, I just need to see what size it is this evening. If it happens to be the right size, it's yours for the cost of postage.
