Given my fondness for Partridge Family bus style primary colors I found it really hard to judge both this bike and Wisaunder's due to their almost complete lack of them. Not saying they can't be Hot, just feeling like I should probably recuse myself. |

Seriously though, the new paint is a huge improvement. I'll assume for the moment that your winter use justifies the knobby tires. Even so, I think I'd need to see it in the snow to call it hot. |

Here's my 2012 Carve Expert. I stopped riding my road bike to work so that I could get more miles in the saddle on this bike in preparation for bikepacking trips. Bottles are on the fork, since they will need to be there when the full frame bag is on for bikepacking and I want to get used to reaching for them there. Tires are WTB Nanos so I can take the dirt roads on the Trinity River levees back on days that I have more time.

I'm know going minimalist is a trend these days, but I think no pedals and no brake cables is a bit extreme. ;)

I'm not a fan of sailboats, so I've got to rate these "meh." |
The frame/stem bag, the bulky down tube, the chain guard and the platform pedals all conspire to make it a "not" but it has potential. |

Pics where taken last winter. First pic taken on a sunny day, second pic taken when it was about to snow. Function over form all the way for me. |

Well...?

I do like me some drop-bar MTBs. Those red fenders are classic. :thumb:

[QUOTE=Mr. Hairy Legs;16009688]Not. The red fenders make it look like a kid's toy, and a triple crank is never hot on a road style bike. Also, the bars are rotated too far down.
Not the first time somebody has mentioned the bars, I've tried so many times riding with rotated up and just isn't comfy for me, I haven't been too fond of the fenders since I painted them I wanna get some stainless ones. Thanks for critique :) |
