Fauh, I wish I could rock the helmet cam. Unfortunately, about 80% of my commute is in a no camera zone.

Where are you commuting? I've never heard of a no camera zone on a public road. Are you sure that the no camera signs are legally enforceable?

Wet roads from overnight rains, but 60F this morning. Possible thunderstorms and more rain this afternoon through Wednesday.

I suppose I will ride as I am able.

Cold again, -2C/28F with a windchill of -8C/23F and a wind of 20kmh/12mph on top of that, predominantly as a headwind. However, it appears that it will be a warm ride home of 11C/52F with a stronger wind so I might take a slightly longer route to take advantage of a tailwind.

Yep - Military base. Pax river, specifically. 80% is likely exaggerating. However, as I approach the road to my hanger there is a big, bold red lettered sign that says "ABSOLUTELY NO PHOTOGRAPHY IN THIS DIRECTION". I can't not look in that direction, unfortunately. Further, my office has a no PED policy, and a helmet cam is a poster child example.

One day I might bring a small cam and take a few shots of safe areas, as there are some cool things I see on the way in.

Wonderful weather today, but I drove in since I have a cold. I probably should have called in sick. Fortunately I don't have much human contact (software dev), so there's not a huge risk of passing around the illness.

TOO COLD!! UGH! Even with my knee warmers, arm warmers, insulated skull cap, and gloves, I was still getting cold on the ride in. The only time I wasn't cold was going past the airport where I did a tabatas set, then I wasn't cold because I was more concerned about breathing. It's supposed to get a lot warmer in Silicon Valley for the rest of the week, so hopefully I can do all 5 days this week. Gas is getting expensive, paid $4.50 a gallon over the weekend for premium, bleh.

Today's commute was sunny, a little chilly this morning but warmed up for the afternoon commute. 20 miles to the old building to pick up a company truck, I ended up leaving my bike locked in that empty parking lot all day so I had to convince a co-worker to give me a lift back there at the end of the day. The new route (25 miles) seems doable, except for one hill that I probably won't be able to ride up entirely (it's ~1 mile straight up, mapmyride says it's only a 250ft elevation but there's no way that's accurate, I swear it's steeper.

Due to forecasted rain, I'll be driving in the rest of the week. The next dry day I'll probably do a test run of the new 25 mile commute.(

32° going in and 55° coming home, and sunny both ways; shorts weather is here at last! The sun is rising right around when I get to work, so I'm trying to leave a little earlier to give myself time to ride out to the coast and catch the morning alpenglow on the Alaska Range across the inlet. I had plenty of time this morning to pull over and drink it in, those massive mountains lit up a rosy pink, and the ocean below an early morning purple.

Same forecast for tomorrow, so the scenery will probably be a rerun of today's, but that's fine by me, it's my favorite show.

The commute to work this morning was a nice 43f degrees with a wind coming from the east. It was also overcast but I like the clouds since I am heading east.

Last night I had the best tailwind I ever experienced (or remember) a strong 30-40 kmh tailwind perfeclty oriented from the north east, which is rare in my area, the wind is usualy coming from the west (north or South) I did my 27.4 kms commute in about 50 min. without much effort.
This morning the wind was still from the north east but was at 5-8 kmh so the ride in was not to bad

After riding 230 miles last week, this week is looking like a bust. I drove yesterday because forecasters were calling for severe storms, and we barely got a drop of rain. More forecasts for severe weather, thunderstorms, heavy rain, tornadoes, etc., today and tomorrow, so I'll be able to commute two days at best this week, and forecasters are saying it could rain every day this work week. Oh well, my legs needed a rest.

I think the ride home yesterday was the most humid day of the year so far. A nice breeze created by riding a bike always helps with that though.

I make a left at one T intersection. This morning as I looked right to check for cars, I saw none, but did see a deer standing in the middle of the road. He seemed to have paused while crossing to see if I was a threat or not.

Much milder today, 5C/41F but overcast and with a 25kmh/15mph headwind so it wasn't an enjoyable ride in. Going home also will be fun with 25mm/1" of rain forecast for this afternoon/evening and rain and showers continuing until Sunday.

I lucked out this morning - the weather forecasts were all dead wrong with no storm in sight. Not even a light rain, no wind, nothing but a lot of wet and leaves and branches. And one tree down. I was using my storm gear nevertheless.

Second commute of the year!
Was a little misty, but warm enough...
Very pretty morning and traffic was considerate!

Due to constantly changing BP meds, going home may be a challenge.

Wet from thunderstorms last night, 50F. Seems like all of a sudden everything is green - pretty cool. The smells this morning were amazing

25 miles. Half way up that wicked hill, I ended up walking the bike. I forgot my jacket at home, so I hope I can dodge the expected PM showers tonight. I'll most likely be driving the rest of the week with the forecast calling for 90% chance of rain through the weekend.
