How long is your daily commute 1-way and what city/state.do you reside?
I'm just trying to get a feel for average commuting distance!

I do pay the TV-tax so that I can legally use the BBC iPlayer. Also, a lot of TV channels are available online (like German, Swedish and American ones) if I find I watch to watch German, Swedish or Danish coverage of the Olympics.
Total cost of about £30/month including home phone!

Shortest route is seven miles each way. I do a multi-mode commute; bike to the train station, and then from the train station to work.

10.5 to 15 miles depending on route. Rural Michigan, not far from Ann Arbor. No bike paths, no sidewalks, either no or very little shoulder, 50+ MPH roads.
