New Bike!
Found a great deal on a 2011 Giant Seek 1 and snagged it up since the Cannondale wasn't working as a commuter at all. It already had a rear rack installed and a pair of touring pedals and bar ends which was both convenient and saved some room to spend on panniers and a new saddle. The MagicShine knock-off from eBay died after a few months so I replaced it with a 220 lumen headlamp that I jury rigged on the stem which actually works really well. The bike itself has less than 150 miles on it due to the previous owners back injury. The stand over heights is a little big, but the bike fits so well that it seems like it doesn't really matter.
• Can you purchase replacement batteries for the CREE MagicShine knock-offs for less than $30?
• I've been looking for panniers that can fit two racquetball racquets and other gear for less than $100. Suggestions?

I've been using the Banjo Brothers waterproof panniers for a year now, and I love them. $50 each; and they roll at the top, so you can fit really big things inside.

That is not a real issue:
Hanging bike upside down w/ hydraulic brakes?
