Giant Seek. Front rack?
I know I've seen a few posters talk about their Seeks, but I can't seem to track down the recent ones to ask this question. Their website says it has both front and rear rack capability, in the pictures you can't see a thing, and I know the rear mounts are "hidden" on the inner sides of the frame, I assume the same goes for the front rack mounts being hidden on the fork?
I've mulled over in my head what I'll really be wanting in a commuter, I kept leaning towards cyclocross, but since my broken knee something a bit more relaxed just makes sense. I've only ever commuted on drop bar bikes. Fixed gear, racey road bikes, backpacks, rear racks and panniers, etc... And the more I mess around on "city" bikes the more I realize I want one. It's slightly ridiculous, and I probably wouldn't pay list price on it, but my deal is just too tempting. And for some reason I can't get the idea of a front rack instead of rear out of my head, I've never had one. So if anyone can confirm these forks have mid mounts that would be great.

Would lead me to believe that the small hole at the bottom of the fork (visible in the picture you posted) is threaded. I would assume this would be the anchor point there.

Just says "The rear of the fork has a fender mount." I guess the hole in the back of the crown (pictured on the website) is also threaded?
Seems legit.

you have not bought the bike yet I assume ? shop in person... you want a front rack ? look for the mounts on the bike in question
Is this hole threaded ? https://brimages.bikeboardmedia.netdn...w-brakes02.jpg
a fork tip eyelet in the rigid fork and some space, under the stem, above the headset, is all you need for Pauls flat bed rack
Flatbed from Paul Component Engineering

I actually work at a small giant dealer, hence the deal. But we never stock these, and I think in the past three years only one has been ordered. The Escape makes much more sense to most customers. I have worked and ridden a couple of the derailleur equipped versions, but I was thinking I was more in the market for a cross bike so want inspecting the front end for mounting options... So, not completely sight unseen. And the pro deal I get on the bike is less than dealer cost, pretty sure returns not applicable
I had a passing interest in this model for months, but it constantly changed, and it's all been while getting some strength back in my leg, so I've held off any purchase. But the fire was relit when we got a big order of city bikes with the same Alfine 8 hub, and I just really feel like a more upright, casual commuter, as I sometimes just feel ridiculous in my Sidi road shoes, super stiff road bike, etc... When I just want to cruise downtown.
